Seed Savers Love to Visit Gardens

We aim to visit a garden each month. However, sometimes wet weather can affect roads and parking areas on country properties and require the postponement of a visit.

A sumptuous afternoon tea is a feature at every garden visit but this was a special lunch at Peter and Beryl's home.

We share seeds at every gathering

We visited Carol's garden in 2009. Her garden features a netted enclosure close to the home. It makes sense to facilitate intensive garden maintenance by placing the garden close to the house (in Zone 1 using permaculture language).

Note the red bellpeppers (capsicums). We have access to mild and hot bellpeppers which often overwinter in our mild climate (in frost free areas) without much winter damage.
